Hutch's barn and store circa 1880s

When James Francis Tulloch traded at Hiram Hutchinson's store in the Fall of 1876, the view would have been very similar to this. Taken most likely in the 1880s, this photo shows the beginnings of the present day Lopez Village. Hutch's barn can be seen on the far left, a fence has been built along the shoreline, many trees have been removed, and Hiram's store is clearly visible on the right. Compare this photo to the next, taken in the early 1900s, and see how Lopez developed in 20 years time.
