By 1905, Lopez had become a serious community. There's a small purple "X" in the middle of the photo that shoes where Irene Week's house used to be (as identified by her granddaughter Eva Rhodes Hall). Just to the right, Hiram's store is still standing. The village now has several homes, a hotel, creamery, two churches and the schoolhouse.
Lopez Congregational church (present day Lopez Island Community Church) was built in 1904, which helps date this photo. On the very far right, a little blurry, you can also make out the Lopez Schoolhouse, present day Library.
